OP is an obvious troll, or he only listens to dubstep through shitty computer speakers. Either way, I'm laughing.

Re: Analogue studios

I make my tunes on an all hardware rig: Boss DR-660 Drum Machine, Roland SP-404 sampler, Korg Electribe EA-1, Behringer Eurorack 1602, Zoom Studio 1204 FX rack and I occasionally sample sounds from a Casio FZ-10M. I'm lucky in that all my sound modules have onboard sequencers (and pads to input with...

Re: Next time you fancy a biff

Don't want my neighbours know I smoke green, not because they're uptight conservatives, but cause I get the feeling they'd always be hassling me for a bit. Smoking outside is dynamite though, reminds me of being on holiday.

Re: best overall drum kit sample pack(s)

I quite like the J Dilla and 9th Wonder kits that are floating about, some excellent kicks, snares and claps for dubstep.

Re: Why does Soundcloud ruin my upload?

Anytime Soundcloud has messed up one of my uploads, it seems to be a bit depth/sample rate issue.

Re: Why do deep heads seem to hate on the hyped stuff so muc

The one point I'd make about the transition from "deep" to "hype" is that a few years ago when there seemed to be less of the aggressive midrange jump up stuff, I'd never heard anyone say that they didn't like dubstep only that they did loved it or they'd never heard of it. I onl...

Re: Hi Hat Patterns

Depends on the tune, sometimes I'll play 16th notes with quantise off and then starting deleting notes to give the pattern more space and movement. Other times I'll quantise hats on each 1/4 note and play shuffled hits in between. The most important thing for me is making sure some beats are accente...

Re: Favourite aspect of production?

Chopping samples, I love taking a loop that I already love and slicing it into bits that can be rearranged into something brand new. Least favourite aspect is saving patches and backing up my shit, I don't use a computer to produce so I have to SysEx dump from my synth and drum machine and export sa...
