Re: Made - Like Us (Future Garage/Bass)
i like it but i think the perc needs pushing forward in the mix, it may be the speakers but i get a bug thud for the kick (good) and then nothing in the mids, which if that's what you're aiming for is cool, but i feel like i'm missing a snare/crack/knock or something to carry the riddim and add some ...

wicked post.
as someone who used to run labels i can only agree with all the points made.
as a producer getting into the scene (from other ones) its always useful to remind yourself of them as well.
as scenes evolve and grow it's great to see people working at the coal face to help people out ...

Re: Teaching
teaching at school you need a pgce, at college, depending on the age/subject range you need a degree or, in some cases, a masters.

mending sewerage pipes. mainly involving standing in, and digging out by hand, mud and shit to put a new pipe in.

Helvetica use doesn't have to necessitate a poor designer.
In the internet age it's become very generic and overused. Luckily I do very little print media, but if one of my artists turned in a piece using something like impact, helvetica, comic sans, etc I'd send it back to be redone.

The sooner general humanity stops thinking that we are any more self-aware and better than other organisms, the sooner we'll be able to ditch our egocentric arrogance and develop ourselves relative to what evolution resulted in.

i use spotify daily. to be honest it's far more preferable than carrying around the kind of stuff i just want to 'dip into' and listen to. or the old stuff i had on tape that i don't have anymore, but don't quite want to spend the money to buy it again.

Re: [FEEDBACK] AME (chillled garage)
at around 1.50 there's some perc that comes in that sounds cool, sonically, and really fills the gap, but it fights the swing of the beat as it's so 'straight ahead'.

Re: Stoops - Spaced (Deep)
i like the vibe on this. i kinda wished there was a more 'upbeat' wandering 'abstract' bassline, but that's a personal thing, it works in any case.
agree with the 'ghost snares' and possibly the static/hat you've got hitting on the first an other beats of the bar later on.
