Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *

Thanks for the feedback I am addressing the issues cause i must say i had similar feelings on the track being aimless and bad structured i've already changed heaps and it dosnt sound much like the old demo.
@Burgeamon I process my basses with little to no compression, camelphat, transient designers ...

Re: Is my dubstep track bad?

I think the mixing and sound design is good.
I really think you have to play with it more in terms of sound choices it just sounds unfinished to me and choppy.
imo It has potential, people are gonna say it sounds "generic" but you obviously like that kinda sound so just keep with it.
maybe hold off ...

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *

@The Other Drug I like the mood of your tune. the bass sounds like a prodigy bass to me i like dig that. I think reverb on the snare every second hit will make the snare fit better in that "traditional dubstep" kinda way, it will make it more tune a little more airy.

@nzym Very Datsiky I think by ...

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *

Acro - Cool vibes in your track, kinda thinking its sounding a little like La Roux Skrillex remix with that choppy vocal effect.
It sounds good :) I cant say really much as my Head phones are shiit.

lowphat - Also digging this track, sounds deep and I like the spacial characteristics. good job ...

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *

Biscuit cool little chilled mix you have there, a little out of my depth as i dont listen to much of this stuff.
but to me it sounds pretty good.

paradigm001 i like your ideas at the start, however i think it could use less verb in my opinion. sounds a little to washed out for me.
The middle is ...

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *

@Glue Reed cool mix man, probably not my area of judging. as i dont listen to much that kind of stuff.
But i love the end with the percussion coming in, it sounds big.

@oprs cool ideas man. I do think the snare needs more reverb at the intro. but aside from that the idea of it is really cool and ...

Re: FEEDBACK- work in progress FILTHY FILTHY beginner

Cheers dude.
Yeah Im well aware of the limiting, I just did some quick processing so users didnt have to jack up their volume to much in order to hear it. but yeah I know where you are coming from.
Yes I agree, the bass drum is way to pronounced, I did a quick mix down on headphones thats probably ...

[FEEDBACK]- work in progress FILTHY FILTHY dubstep

Hey,
So iv spent a few hours on this so far and is still a work in progress.
A few things need to be fixed but yeah its a rough idea.
This is my first song post, I've been producing dubstep for about a month now and wouldnt mind some feed back/constructive criticism.
Thanks

Re: Why am I so terrible?

I want to be able to make something that will make my mates belive that I really can make good tunes

that is the wrong reason to make music.

I listened to your mixes and look man the ideas are there, you just have to keep building.
I find that the overall production is very plan with not much ...

High quality mikes ay?
I dont record random shit for dubstep
But if i do record anything, vocals or "random" noises its either a Naumann TLM/U87 or SM7
