Re: Sordez - Jaguar (Deep Tune)

Nice drop, very tasteful percussion. I think you are on the right track and just need practicing your style more. It's a little too reverby for my taste at times (although my recent track has a lot of reverb as well so maybe I shouldn't be talking, hehe) if you know what I mean. Also the second time ...

Re: Ed Sheeran - I See Fire (Remix) [Chillout]

It's nice but.. to me the riff could be changed up a little, so thats harmonic critique, overall I think it sounds but like I said a different progression OR a drop in dynamics later in the song could shake things a bit more. (and would give you freedom to maybe use different sounds and such)

If ...

Re: GETTING THE VIBES BACK - [Forum Suggestion]

At the ultimate guitar forum they use a C4C system. Like it says, you post, critique, and whoever posts with a link to their song you'll have to post and critique, and this is a pretty good system to me.

Re: chords used in old school dubstep?

Get a guitar or keyboard. There are 12 tones in music. Try 12 times to match the first pitch. Rinse/repeat. Over time this will become accumulatively easier and easier, you'll become a better musician overall

Re: 'live' sets that aren't really live

To be honest, I don't care how "live" it is or is not. If the artist knows how to convey succesfully the emotions he wants to convey, then he succeeded. For me, moral of the story; its all about how you use things.

@Wub
Honest to god those are some crappy lyrics. Respect for his skills tho.

Re: The Ableton Q&A Thread

Hi guys,

I have a problem, you could maybe help me on. I have two tracks open and grouped them together because I wanted to apply auto filter to both of them at the same time. Now when I do this, I notice that auto filter doesn't seem to werk as well as when I do it seperately, and I don't want ...

Re: WIP Thread - GIVE FEEDBACK TO OTHERS BEFORE POSTING!!!

@Bass Jacka - Sunshine
I love the overall vibe, I certainly think you are a better producer than me so I don't have that much critique. Lovin' the percussion, but maybe the melody synth could be a more original sound so to speak? It sounds a little flat in my opinion, so maybe that sound could be ...

Drops have got nothing to do with melodies, especially towards the end of the first bar.
You cant be serious.

Re: I think I found the holy grail of how to do drops

No I understand what youre saying, though i dont really know all the right definitions etc. The progression gives a sort of suspense, but it depends on what kind of suspense you want. Chad, if you feel like thatll make a good drop then just fucking do it and dont listen to buttmonkeys saying you ...

Re: Help Me Make That Sound - 2011.

I feel after a while of producing, youll start coming up with melodies/drops, itll come more naturally then. That specific part is repeated, I guess he would resample it. What this means is he made an audio file with the drop/sound, and he pasted it multiple times after each other in ...

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *

@crakasteven
Dude, that tune really sets you in a sort of spacey mood, which I liked. I dont really have that much to say about it but maybe use some leads or pads? Good tune overall, could use some more elements in the song though to make it stand out more, to make your track really unique,but its ...
