Re: possibly trade zebra 2 for another synth
I have both Zebra 2 and Massive, they're both nice but I seem to prefer Massive for dirty sounds(probably because it was my first purchased synth and it functions as a rock in my producing process). I prefer Zebra for leads, pads and what not, though it undoubtedly can produce filth as well. I don't...

Re: Skunk - Hypothermik Shit (Deathstep)
Sounds really good! It stays in the same vibe when it drops, to keep it interesting maybe make the hi-hats/percussion etc. somewhat more interesting? Also, what's this "deathstep"? I must've completely missed out on this lol, this almost sounds like something Borgore would put out in 2009 ...

Numinex - King Size (Dubstep/"glitch hop" track)
Good day, I would like some feedback on a track I made a while back, I only posted it on quite a obscure forum so I didn't get much response. Hopefully I can get some critical notes from you guys! http://soundcloud.com/numinex/king-size My other stuff on soundcloud is more hip hop based http://sound...

Re: Hooking up KRK's through an audio interface
Yep, dat there dayman is a nasty lil' fellar, alright.
Thanks for your anwser, it's still not working though. The weird thing is, when "installed" it, I only seemed to install a lite version of ableton, no actual anything for M-audio really.
Guess I'll head over to the M-audio forum than.

Hooking up KRK's through an audio interface
Okay so I need some help hooking these bad boys up. What I have right now is a pair of KRK Rokit 5's and an M-audio Fast Track Pro, also I got some XLR to balanced cables to connect the two. I installed the latest driver for the M-audio but I have no clue as to what to do next. My mac recognizes the...

Re: Running an audio signal through hardware...(Logic)
Thanks for your answer, mate! I believe I get it(though I'm the opposite of technical), I just need to put the output cable in the speaker/headphone jack, right? I need some more cables for this then, though. Seems hard to hear what I'm doing when I'm messing around with the pod if that means I'm on...

Running an audio signal through hardware...(Logic)
...and back into your DAW. So basically, I have some guitar gear(some pedals and a Line 6 Pod XT) I want to mess around with but I have no idea how to go on about making it go through the effects and back in the computer. Say I want to run a bass line through the Pod XT and then back into Logic, how...

Re: drum samples
I think these are pretty easy to find but I like quite some of the kickdrums out of the sample pack called "die bassdrum ruven" found here:

Re: Don’t care if this is a repost...
Sadly enough, I had seen this vid before Skrillex sampled it. As in, you wish you'd sampled it? Or that it ruined the effect of hearing it in the song? None of that really, it's more the sad truth that I at one point in my life was bored enough to watch this to entertain myself. Cool sample, though.

Re: James Blake - A Case of You (Joni Mitchell Cover)
I like what I've heard from him so far, this being the third song I've heard, two of them were covers though.
I think his voice kind of sounds like Anthony Hegarty(from 'Anthony and the Johnsons')except without the kicked in the balls sensation which seems to permanently linger in that guys voice.

Re: Making my snares sound tighter?
I had been messing around with the limiter in Logic a couple of times now without pleasing results, I guess I'll give that another go then. Reso uses the ad limiter though, I have Logic Express and it doesn't come with that one. Should'nt be to big of a problem, I hope. As for that transient shaper,...

Making my snares sound tighter?
I'm not sure if describing this sound as "tighter" suffices enough but, I basically want my snares to sound somewhat like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mY4OaW5kiFY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2cHhOKYZNI Right now, I use logic's Ultrabeat where I load up 2/3 snare samples which I ...
