Well........I downloaded and installed some programs to "try them out" like someone had suggested.

I am trying out the Ableton Live 8 or something like that.....

And I am having a nightmare with it. (Not giving up at all though)

I cannot hear what I am ...

I agree with the person that says, it doesn't matter what you use as long as you get comfortable with it.... but my problem is...

I want to make very clear sounds, I don't want them to sound cheap and generic... if u know what I mean :))

I am clueless as to how to make any beats or anything ...
