Re: Renoise 2.7.0 official release
Don't forget to check your backstage account, they've uploaded a few new packs of .xrni instruments and samples with the release. Some of the atmospheric/soundscape stuff is pretty nice.

Re: CDJs that have vinyl mode?
The cue button on my numark ndx800 is broken, so i'm pretty much forced to use the platter in scratch mode like vinyl. Works alright, has a little red LED around the platter that shows you where the "needle" is, so you can cue up the first hit pretty accurately

Re: Do yall ever not mix down?
Works in some situations I guess. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hjnFJa3wMWk&feature=related This isn't mastered, or necessarily mixed down very well, and you've seen how well it's done...And this has nothing to do with electronic music, but I know a lot of indie/folk artists don't mix down or m...

Re: The definition of a perfect album.
"Horses In The Sky" - A Silver Mount Zion Allow this slightly out of tune vocals, allows the lack of pro production values, this album just leaks soul. +1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mbgJpXEhVC8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvTIyc5ewCE&feature=related The rounds at the end of thi...

Re: djing with ableton
But still, buying Ableton Live and a decent midi controller can easily run you $1000, which is just a little less then what I spent on my CDJ set anyway. Theres really no cheap way around DJing that is quality and will hold up, just gotta suffer the cut a bit until you can gig out and start earning ...

Re: djing with ableton
No matter which way you slice it, DJing is just plain fun. Try out a few different types of djing at your local store, watch videos of people djing in different ways, and pick whichever tickles your fancy and fits your style. Ableton opens up a lot of options though, you can DJ, produce, and preform...

Dubstep is easy. Now house on the other hand, producing that shit is like trying to solve a rubix cube. I can't get the drum pattern right

Looks like a great idea. I put one of my tracks up awhile, I'll give feedback when I get home from work, and am not listening through Ipod Headphoneseb4evr wrote:http://soundcloud.com/groups/dubstep-fo ... ck/dropbox

Re: Gemini Products?
Same goes for Numark and Stanton. I had went with the Numark NDX 800, thought i'd save myself some money for a case and stuff. Now 6 months later, the cue button on my one deck is broken, so I have to cue it up in scratch mode like vinyl. :/ Have a show coming up soon, but after that I'm sending it ...

I've had the ndx800s for about 6 months (about 4 hours of use a week), and the cue button on my left deck is starting to give me problemsPERCEPT wrote: The other nice value CDJ's are the Numark NDX400 and 800's, heard good things about them for the price..

Haven't used FL10, but that's how it was in one of the older versions i've used, so i'm sure nothings changed.

Re: The Renoise Q&A thread
I recently bought renoise, and I'm really getting into it and starting to use it as my main DAW. As for old projects I've started in Reason, is there anyway I can transfer the MIDI data from the horizontal piano roll type inputs, into the trackers? I get how to rewire reasons VSTs into individual ch...

Re: Smartest decision regarding upgrading my macbook?
my opinion, if you're not on logic, get a PC. You can get one with equal or greater specs for half the cost, and you could spend the extra cash on hardware, VSTs (but not for reason), etc.
