I can't remember exactly, but I swear someone on here has a VCR incorporated into their studio setup. There's a pic somewhere in the Classic Take A Picture... thread.

The only time I can recall using a VCR/DVD player in my setup was sampling to the ...

Re: Need some advice on melodies.

99/100 times I use major chords. I love how they create a sense of conflict with the bass or balance the song out from all the dissonance elements in my tracks. It's really hard to force a melody that you will be happy with (it's super easy to bs one that everyone else will love though :roll ...

Re: messed up tempo in a remix.. how can i fix it?

http://www.theelectronomist.com/ableton-warp-tutorial/

I even noticed this explains the trick I use to quickly warp tracks for DJ'ing in Live (Setting the initial warp marker, then going to the very end of the track and lining it up, so you don't have to go through and set a million markers). Hope ...

Re: messed up tempo in a remix.. how can i fix it?

You could always try to mess with the phrasing and warping in the acapella and get it to match 120. That's what I would do anyhow. Or push the beat up to 152 and use the different warping techniques (beat, repitch, complex) in order to make it sound decent. Who knows, it could be on the money or ...

Re: Just a quick Ableton question!

You may have accidentally recorded over it. It's kind of weird to get used to at first, and a different way of thinking as far as DAWs go, so these things happen at first. But if both tracks have their respective record buttons armed, then every time you try to record to the arrangement view, they ...
