I'll be loosely moderating the group and shoot you a warning if you're just uploading tracks without leaving WELL DONE critiques for others. No crap like ...

Currently on a cr-48 google laptop, but i'll check your stuff when i get some headphones.
i think it'd be cool to make a soundcloud group for posting WIP's to be commented on or whatever with a group of people who actually take the time to listen to other people's stuff

Re: [Critique!] Banger! Check this out!
Thanks man, i'll definitely try that with the snare. What do you think of the drop and the song itself? It feels a little empty to me personally and i'm having trouble making it sound full.

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
Hey guys, been working hard on this track. I'm having issues specifically with mastering. My drums seem to ALWAYS peak no matter what. If they're not, they just aren't loud enough in the mix:
check this out and let me know what you think. any help on the mixing would be awesome too!

Re: Macbook pro for production?
Maybe i've just never had an adequate windows laptop, but they always just seem to be kinda clunky and haven't always been the most reliable things, especially in a quick 'set up and go' situation. Also the music organization in the mac and the integration within traktor/itunes is handy. I don't ...

Re: Macbook pro for production?
Thanks for the tips guys. :) Yeah, i've looked on craigslist a bit and they're definitely cheaper. I'm just terrified of getting a machine with something wrong with it and having it crash mid-show or something. I don't know a WHOLE lot about macs, as i've been using and producing on pc's my whole ...

Macbook pro for production?
I'm looking to buy the lowest model macbook pro to use with Traktor for my live DJing, and I was planning on building a windows i7 desktop for production.
I've figured the desktop will run around $1000 with all the parts, and the macbook will run around $1,100 for the lowest model. I'm interested ...

Thanks for the input guys. I think i'm gonna save this as a new version and just delete the drop and give it another go.
RandoRando: I wish i knew enough to answer that. Unsure about the different sounds regarding DAW's, but I personally can achieve a better sound with ableton than I can with FL ...

Re: PSOLD- Castles In The Sky [Free320]
Here goes:
:20 - I dig the percussion. Great groove, the reverse cymbal is a nice touch, and the lower bass hit.
the whole intro gets to be a little monotonous though, feels like a repeated 4 bar phrase. if there was variation, it was SUPER subtle.
