The beat on both of the parts you prefer is simplified. I wanted it to go from a busier beat to make the simpler beat more enjoyable, but I thought even the busier beat was enjoying. I guess I need to hit the lab again.

That lead that comes in around 0:42 might be improved by applying a filter to the pitch, making it a little awkward and detuned sounding.
