Bought an Imac - decent inbuilt soundcard?
Ive just bought an Imac which is due to be delivered on Tuesday and have a couple of questions regarding its inbuilt soundcard and how it compares to the M audio Fast track pro. Im currently using the M-audio device with my PC to enable me to run my KRK monitors, and because i thought it may improve ...

Re: The 'help me make that dungeon sound' thread

Ive also got some nice sounding drawn out filter sound after discovering more about editing envelopes, its great to finally get something you are pleased with.

Fast Track Pro high causing lag and distortion in Ableton
Ok, so this probably seems like your typical crackling distortion thread. But based on my research I don't think this is very typical. So here goes.
Basically I have about 15 tracks set up on Ableton each with tons of plugins for whatever effects/sounds I need. The issue is occurring not when I ...

Re: The 'help me make that dungeon sound' thread
Ok, you've got the main crux of it down. The most important aspect of trying to recreate that sound is the long attack on the synth itself, so that it kinda creeps in as opposed to ZOMG THERE IS NOW SYNTH meaning a more organic feel. Filtering wise, I'm a bit stumped. I'm tempted to go ahead and ...

The 'help me make that dungeon sound' thread
I notice there is a pretty well established 'Help me make this sound' thread but it seems to be pretty much just based on the more midrange side of things, with anyone asking how to replicate and deeper or darker sounds not getting much attention.
Anyway I thought maybe it'd be a good idea to ...

Re: The 'help me make this sound!' thread
this thread is dead :z:
There should be a 2nd 'help me make this sound' thread for 'dungeon' only.
I can't stand the fact that the masses just ask questions that could have been answered by searching and therefore the questions of people who really tried their fucking best remain unanswered.
