basically what these guys said.. you can really use either depending on what you would like to achieve. It's also cool to load a bunch of samples into a drum rack and play them that way, when you do that then each slot can be effected individually allowing for some freedom.

rollage man. Great tune. I really like ethereal jungle tracks like this one. The high synth pad you used I am really liking.. it encapsulates the drum and bass very well, if it was me I'd probably just bring that component out a bit more. that's just me though. Otherwise very smooth.

there is some good composition and progression going on here.. Seems like you already have a good idea of the main parts of a dubstep track. Having said that it could use a little more sound design and automation of individual sounds. I'm not just gonna go right out and say that garageband isn't ...
