Essential MIDI gear for Logic Studio

So I'm looking to expanding upon the MIDI gear that I currently am using with Logic Studio. (Which is only an Akai MPK 25) And I was looking for input from other Logic users. What are your favorite pieces of gear to use with Logic? I'm mainly referring to things other than keyboards, as having tried ...

Re: production philosophy

Create authentic music. To me a lot of electronic music in particular has become superficial. So many people want to be the next big star or sound like "x" but in the process the music suffers from a serious loss of genuine feeling. If you are not genuine when it comes to producing, I don't care how ...

Yeah but she didn't know how to use logic or reason.

Aphex Twin Snare?

So I've always really loved the snare-repeat or whatever one would call it, anyone have any tips on creating a snare pattern like that, not sure exactly how to go about it.

The first time it appears starts at about 4 seconds.

Re: [First Tune] Bassy dubstep

The only thing I noticed was that it seemed like sometimes to wobbles got off sync with the beat. Other than that I'd say it was pretty good, better than the stuff I make and im 8 songs in haha

Yeah, your right, at one point automation in Logic was being really frustrating and wasn't doing what I ...

Zach Taylor - Bassy dubstep

Hey, I've been around on the forums for several months now, and started producing part-time in the past month and a half, and this this is my first tune. Its obviously not very good, but I'm definitely looking for feedback. And I never realized how low quality soundcloud uploads were until just now ...

Go with the Macbook, way more reliable than any PC. I currently run Logic on Mac OSX and have never once wished to change to a PC.

What do you guys think? 3 dub? Maybe 4 dub? Only proper soundsystems can handle that much dub!
Possibly take it to the unthinkable level of 5 dub.

Re: Books on Music Theory?

Honestly, I think the best thing to do for a music theory novice is to pick up guitar or piano and get a teacher. You'll learn infinitely more by practical application. Theory is great, but if you only know why and not how you're missing half the picture.

But, (to kinda plug myself lol) I was an ...
