I guess you're right here. I guess I suggested guitar tabs just because in my experience they are much easier to get a hold of online.

Learn how to play other people's songs. Really helps a lot.
Do you know any places I can find notes from other songs, that isn't written on sheet music?
guitar tableture is pretty easy to figure out.

Re: Best and worst dubstep tune of all time, and explain why

Just realized I was commenting on this forum and didn't even post my best and worst.

Best- Its tough. Right now now my favorite is probably night vision by distance. I love distance so so much.

worst- Make it bun dem by skrillex. At first I wasn't on the whole "I hate skrillex boat". He was just ...

Re: Best and worst dubstep tune of all time, and explain why

I knew I'd get a lot of hate on that one haha. I buy what I can. Besides the way I look at it if I was putting out tunes I'd rather have people steal them then just not listen to them at all, and there are big artists who agree with me on that. I never said it was right. Besides music is about ...

Man I feel bad for cyrex. Although that is what you get for saying digital mystikz isn't dubstep.

I sorta get where he is coming from with the illegal downloading. I mean yeah its not right and by no means does going to one concert justify taking that music, but some of us just can't afford to buy ...

Re: Best and worst dubstep tune of all time, and explain why

best: mt eden - sierra leone

worst: burial - arch angel

More like the other way round, Mt Eden is terrible

I was thinking The same thing. I actually think archangel is a really cool tune. After I totaled my car almost all I listened to was Burial for a week.

Sierra Leone is the best Mt ...

Bluegrass Dubstep Challenge

Yep. I'm challenging you guys to try and make some type of bluegrass dubstep. Remixes, originals, collaborations, whatever. I'm pretty sure this is impossible since these genres are the exact opposite of each other but I bet one of you guys can do it.

If you come up with anything post it here ...

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *

try passing the melody around to a few other parts. I think that would sound awesome.

not sure what you mean by this.

haha sorry I meant like the melody that the flute is playing. Try that melody on other instruments and see how it works out.

Idk maybe that's not the best tip but if it where ...

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *

Also @ Kres- that is way better than any beat i could make up when I was a noob.

You know how little I knew starting off? I started with Sibelius and a minimoog plugin, and that was it.

I thought that was all I needed!

Man, I made some bad 8-bit songs.

lmfao wait I found some haha

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *

Naroja: I'd love to hear some bigger more solid chunks of midrange bass around the drop. This kind of song is just begging for that.
Toolman4: amazing I love it so cool
difference: try passing the melody around to a few other parts. I think that would sound awesome.

So my w.i.p. is so far from ...

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *

PeriKardium - Work on your drum placement, the snare doesn't sound very natural. Also you work on your kick. On the 8th bar of the drop you could have a different sounding synth in a higher octave play a melodic part. It's typical but it'll sound better. The part after the drop sounds flowing and ...
