Re: Gypsy-Step!?
This stuff's nice. I'm Roma (Calo and Vlax) myself, so it's cool to see people pushing the traditional stuff forward a bit.

This one's a bit older (and not necessarily purely dubstep), but I still like it:

Re: producing stoned
Maybe... I get kind of annoyed when too many people are around and I'm high, though, unless it's not my house. Plus, I feel more like making music when I am, so it's probably 50-50 social vs solo.

Re: Naming your tracks
I love puns- The Porpoise-Driven Life, Nature Abhors a Raccoon, that kinda thing, not all animals though... not tremendously clever, but mildly entertaining. Or little odd phrases from books that catch my attention, like "Mirror-Hand and -Wrist" (from The Talisman)... only one that comes to mind at ...

Re: newcomers -> introduce yourself here
I think my next steps will be to find what DAW I want to use by testing out more demos, but from what I've heards, seen and from personal use, I really like FL Studio and I'm most likely going to be purchasing the full version soon.

Re: producing stoned
This is totally me when I'm producing stoned. Nothing like a little Adventure Time for a break in between sessions.
Lol not to make it an Adventure Time thread, but totes. Probably the only appointment-viewing show on TV for me... more so when I'm taking a munchie break. Plus, I do a lot of my ...

Re: producing stoned
My biggest problem when I'm high? Fucking super-loud drums. I love me some drums and percussion sober, so when I'm high and I start getting a little hypnotized by the rhythm tracks, I end up cranking 'em. Or making them ridiculously complex... sometimes I gotta scale it back a bit bcz I've got a ...

Re: newcomers -> introduce yourself here
Hi, people. My name's Phoenix. I've been producing with FL since 02, and am in the process of switching to Ableton (slowly). I produce a pretty wide range of genres (haven't really found my favorite to make just yet, so I make what I like at the time)- glitch, dub/ drumstep, industrial, deathstep ...

Re: producing stoned
Hella iced tea and smokes is how I roll high, maybe a little ice-cream too. I get hyperfocused when I'm stoned so things flow pretty quickly and I don't tend to get bogged down in fiddling (unlike when I'm sober). I haven't really had the problem thus far of making something I think is fire when I'm ...
