It's still giving me the sound I want, whether it's the "right way" or not.
Please someone close this thread. People still seem to be responding even after the solution has been found.
Yeah guys I figured it out It's pretty easy lol I use the Fruity Peak Controller, it's so much simpler than the other ways. You can't exactly do as much customizing to it, but it gets the job done and with added FX, I could get the sound I want haha
Thanks for the help everyone! And I'll have to check out that link you posted with the Limiter. From what you guys say, the Limiter seems to be the best way to control it. And idk, my cousin seems like an Ableton fanboy. Says it's more challenging so that means you can make better stuff. :corntard: ...
It's more to it than just chaining mixer channels (in FL Studio anyway). It's basically the 'in and out' sound I'm looking for, you'd need something to control it via automation I believe. Those threads really didn't get into that kinda stuff. just sidechain it with midi notes / mute the source. Th...

http://youtu.be/B0_BA9wGt-M This song has it a lot. It's like it fades in after every beat, hard to explain. Like when you'd up the attack knob on a VST (only it's not that easy). I'm fairly new to making stuff from scratch and not using presets :a: and I can't seem to get that sort of sound. I've t...
I don't know if anybody has answered you already, but I had the EXACT same problem, and I actually figured out how to fix it just today. What the problem was for me, was that in FL, anytime it was on "Primary sound driver" it sounded like crap, and that's actually the more honest way to l...

http://soundcloud.com/shutterwave/shutterwave-portal So basically I started this big thread about how my FL Studio wasn't working right. http://www.dubstepforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=218965 View that if you have any questions on the equalization. But yeah, this is my 2nd dubstep/brostep song ...
Okay, instead of replying to everyone of you I'll just reply in general. If I keep the volume of the master and all the others at its default, it obviously hits red. So what I usually do is turn down the master a few decibels and that'll sometimes fix the problem (such as the track in my signature)....
Okay so I'm not entirely sure what clipping is :q: BUT I changed my sound driver to Primary Sound Driver, and routed all my patterns to different channels in the mixer to adjust all the volumes, but it still doesn't sound as clean as it did when I was working on it with ASIO. I read that forum and t...
I did, LOL I can't understand why it would process and sound like ass if his mixdown is right I have no idea either. It's like ASIO automatically EQ's everything to sound amazing, but when I use any other sound drivers it sounds like a mess :/ And when songs mixed down, they don't mix down in ASIO ...
It has nothing to do with my headphones or if my room is "treated". The mixdowns sound bad compared to the sound quality I was getting when actually working on the song. Picture it like this. Me before song is rendered: "Everything sounds EQ'd omg I maek brostepz liek Skrillexx w00t&q...
That's an example of what I'm talking about. It didn't sound that messy and the lows didnt sound distorted or overpowering like that when I was working in ASIO. -____- what the ufkc...
