Re: Definitely Starting to Understand Dubstep
Yeah. It needs some mixing. I'm using these crappy altec's but I will bring it to headphones and go from there. And yeah. I think sometimes there's double patterns and also on some bits there isn't even an automation.

You should just keep Tupac. It sounds very good already. But, could I get a download of this?

Re: Doctor P, Flux Pavilion inspired track, feedback!
Yeah. It's pretty good but I think you already understand that most of your problems are in your mix. What you could do to fix this is listen to another track thats already been mastered and try to copy the volumes of their snare and their bass and even their bassline. The biggest problem I saw was ...

Re: Work in progress
Thanks man. I really enjoy the bass too. I was surprised that I could make that in sytrus. But I plan on adding a melody and maybe some vocals at the beginning to take up that emptiness.

Compression and Mixing
I don't even use compression and I'm pretty sure my mix is fucked up. But I just wanted to get a few impressions and opinions on it.

IMO that's pretty good man. Like, you should honestly think about sending this to someone to rap on. I would love to hear how it goes.

Re: My first post - My latest tune!
The glitchy noises are kind of irritating. But it's pretty good overall, especially the beat. What did you use to make it though? I could literally send that noise to a send. Filter out the scratchiness and then downpitch it all a bit and you'll have a really nice sound.

Re: Need some feedback !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! plz
Dude... that is sick as fuck what you have going on. I love it. Especially the toms or whatever you have in the second part of scum bags. It's very clear. But the snare does need a bit more thump. Try increasing like the 200 area and it will sound sickk.

i use fl studio and massive. lol. But the bass structure just really hurts. You should try clearing out the sub bass right before the drop and see what happens [:

Re: Layering
Effects take affect in order. So, your bus EQ won't "interfere" with the channels you placed on it. Instead, it will just EQ over the mixed signal. It's kind of like EQing a master channel of a song. However, I would suggest using a visual equalizer when you layer. Also, make sure you don't leave ...

Which controller to start with?
Hey df, I've been producing for awhile now but I've gotten good enough to where people have started asking me to Dj. So at the moment I have been mixing on virtual DJ. I want to get a controller though and I have had my eyes set on the traktor s4. I've heard that its hard to learn and its a little ...
