Re: FL studio rendering sounding completely diferent to proj
Make sure your quality settings are the same for playback and rendering. Check the settings when you render and make the playback settings match. Does that make sense?

Re: Syncing LFO Speed In Automation Clips [FL Studio]
I used to do what israel does, it's goooood. Without a doubt, the most control over the wobble. But if you make a template you like once then save the state file you can test out different wobble rates etc VERY quickly on a bassline. Big ups Grooki

Sure, that won't be a problem. To play with the sub stuff later you can split it out with a multiband compressor or linear phase EQ.

I do the opposite man. I sidechain my sub so the kick always comes through.

Re: Understanding Sub Bass
Another thing to consider is keeping your sub powerful. A sine sub has all of its energy on one frequency while other (saw, square, etc.) spread the power over many frequencies. Having all the energy on one frequency keeps the sub powerful. The ADSR envelope of the sub can also be used to increase t...

Ex: The pumping effect in a lot of house music is a synth routed to a compressor which is compressed when the kick hits. The release is long enough to pump back up to the initial volume.

Have you tried turning on the snap in Love Philter and setting loop points? It doesn't get easier than that.

@ jrisrael:
You are definitely right, I think most people don't realize this though because a lot of "additive synths" are additive engines with a subtractive interface

Re: Hard bass makers.
ALL sounds ar emade up of series of them Hey man, I agree with you all sounds are lots of sine waves. I think the big argument in this thread happens to be the wording. All sounds can be represented as an infinite series of sine waves. This doen't mean that all sounds are made from sine waves thoug...

Re: Hard bass makers.
well...additive synthesis can't produce a true square wave...infinite partials..
BUT massive's square wave looks pretty damn square. Its scanning a wavetable which can do that (even though your sound card might not).
just my two cents

Re: Automation Clips on FL
Hey, One other way to look at this (I used to do it this way but now it's drum buss ftmfw): 1) Create the automation you want for one instrument 2) Right click the next parameter you want to control and select link to controller 3) Select the automation clip you created in step 1 under the internal ...

Re: Another vocoder question. please help.
You must mean the modulator. The carrier is what you should be hearing, modulated by the modulator. If this is what you mean, then in FL the Fruity vocoder does this very well. Pan one signal hard right and the other hard left, make sure fruity vocoder knows which you want to be the carrier and modu...
