Re: started up a new label.....

I'm loving the PlatoRaptor, pondering the intricacies of a life full of midrange.

Good luck with label, you're more proactive than a lot of people.

I would say 100-110 Bpm is the most comfortable bpm to produce at, I'm pretty much the same

Re: Doesn't it annoy you when....

It sounds like you crave acceptance and affirmation for the decisions you have made. Having ambition doesn't mean you HAVE to get signed. Just be happy with what you're doing, and always strive to improve your productions. Anything that happens along the path of self improvement should be taken as ...

Re: Doesn't it annoy you when....

i don't care if someone hates their tunes and is just doing it for money. if i like it, i'll listen to it. if i like it enough, i'll buy it, simple. its too complicated to try to draw lines in the sand like that. and the industry is too fucked up. just gotta roll with it, keep supporting the stuff ...

I don't think so at all, I like and at times love the music I make. I just want to be ambitious about it.

Re: Doesn't it annoy you when....

I can't really argue with the advice given, that's too true. It's food for thought though, if more people tried harder to get their music out there, there would be a much healthier music scene. You could argue perhaps that it would lead to the oversaturation of shit tunes, but with stringent record ...

Doesn't it annoy you when....

People criticize someone who wants to get signed, by saying things such as "You should produce only for the love" "You'll start to hate making music when it becomes a job" "Don't go mainstream" etc. Although I'm not signed myself so can't vouch for it being a land of go...

Re: A Question from a Frustrated Beginner...

I used to be just as frustrated as you, it's simply a matter of putting in the time, but with a target in mind. What I mean by that is, if one day you want to learn how to make a reese, look through youtube tutorials, masterclasses and whatever else you can find, soak up the information and practice...

When it comes to reverb, I've always used Abletons default reverb plugin, I think it's brilliant tbh.
