there is absolutely no headroom for the kick and snare, cymbals are too loud compared to kick and snare and they aren't panned. use better sounds. drop is kinda empty, add fx/white noise/cymbals (remember to pan them right)

@Rymphony, mind explaining your Sytrus settings? I keep trying to get similar sounds but mine always turn up sounding too distorted and harsh rather than harmonic and "wet" like your preview.

I've been wondering how to make this sound for a while. I'm not sure if it's more than 1 sound I am pointing out but it sounds very similar.

The synth plays at .18 seconds as a transition, and then starts at .48 and plays throughout the song.

the "bass" is made with sytrus, no any effects on it.

Because i was bored lol. I have never even told anyone i produce music.

If you think your tunes sound boring/empty, try adding all kinds of white noise, wooshes(those are awesome) and lot of cymbals (remember panning). and you should listen to professional producers and try to listen to things you normally wouldn't. there is alot of weird stuff you kinda won't hear, but ...
