Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
@The other drug: Sick drop man, love the vocal samples. As others have said, maybes add a bit more reverb and get the track to have a bit more air. Love the vibe of this tune man, good work. @johnny666: i feel like a robot just flew into my ears and lost its shit. Awesome flow man, the soudnds you h...

Is it Computer Music 177 your referring to...the Komonazmuk Producer Masterclass or is the mixing one different? There are heaps of download for the Producer Masterclass, just google it.

Traktor Tuition
Hey all, I've been messing around with a Control S4 and Traktor for a few months now and have got the basic mixing / and transitions down and can with the software on the fly. I mainly mix dubstep / drumstep and electro (complextro tracks). One thing I really haven't had much practice with though is...

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
@Specimen-Yarp thanks for the feedback mate, appreciated. I actually removed some compression this morning of some of the sounds as it was making them sound a bit dull. I will try bussing tonight and compressing. Was thinking about doing some muliband distortion as well just to see what else i can g...

polish that turdEskimo wrote:If you use massive then just make a 1 oscillator annoying overused high pitched formant saw wobble that is so "cool" right now, and then resample the hell out of it, so low end comes from resampling, should come out gritty as here, and from shit sound u get good sound xD

Re: Life Dilemmas (producing vs normal jobs)
I find its all about persistence man. I am in a very good and well paying job and I honestly do find it hard to find time to produce just due to the amount of the time I have. You simple have to be dedicated and keep pushing forward and you will eventually get somewhere. Go check out the Ill.Gates M...

Re: Portable Studio
Yeh I will, i think the bass just has a much flatter response compared to other headphones I have tried.
They will probably do for travelling though and i can fix up the sub when i get home.....I'm going to be earning bulk money on the mines, just looking for an excuse to spend it haha.

Re: Portable Studio
My main concern is the headphones. I have these AKG K240 MKII but when I plug them into my PC at home they just seem to lack the sub bass...the sound is amazing but personally I want more sub, maybes an amp would help and I can just keep these as they are awesome headphones

Re: Portable Studio
Yeh but I do much prefer to tap my beats in using pads and i like to experiment with macros a bit so having POTS on a keyboard is very handy. That being said in my studio at home I use the qwerty keyboard instead of my M-Audio, the M-Audio is only ever used for it's pots

Portable Studio
So I already have a nice studio setup at home but it looks like I am going to start some 1week on 1week off work with a lot of flights to the mine. So to ensure i can keep on producing and learning I am looking to purchase a portable setup. Love to get some feedback on my choices and see if anyone e...

Automation Techniques for mid range basslines
Hi all, Not so much a question but more of a discussion. I wanted to get an idea on different techniques people use with there effect automations (i.e. combining filters / phasers and automating them to work together to achieve a lot of movement). The most common thing I have been doing is having a ...

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
Decided to remake a song last night, never done this before. Remade Avicii - Levels (not dubstep but thought i would post anyway). Still needs to be mixed down i think and I wouldn't mind having another go at that lead synth....I would say it probably has to much high freqs at the moment as well. Ha...

Re: Musics not great yet, whats the point in a soundcloud?
Just recently I have decided to start uploading everything to Sound Cloud. I might think something sounds great and never upload it and save it for later but its not really helping me learn. If I upload it and put it out to the public it allows constructive criticism which at the end of the day is g...

Re: Creating shuddering, driving sonic subbass
I'm very much an amateur myself and I could be completely wrong but I sometimes just like to make my room shake (I like pissing the neighbors off). Basically I set up Massive with 3x sine waves all at -12.00 and add a pitch drop, set unison to 4 and apply a tube and a only a very little amount of Di...
