Re: How to get a track to 320kbps
Boy, really had to take a barrage of machine gun fire for that one, huh? Well I learned my lesson, I'll definitely do more research before I ask questions here in the future !!

Re: How to get a track to 320kbps
I said the exact same thing. I sent one to Joe Caithness @ Subsequent Studios (a link I've gotten from this forum) and this is what his email read after I sent him a Zshare link of a WAV form of one of my tracks:
Unfortunately, I can not work with this audio as it is too far pushed/compressed to ...

Re: How to get a track to 320kbps
youre getting confused.
KBPS in terms of mp3s has nothing to do with the loudness or frequency content of the tune. Its an indication of the quality of the MP3 conversion.
What mastering houses reject a wav over an mp3? :corntard: KBPS too high? That doesnt make any sense.

Re: How to get a track to 320kbps
I'm using Reason 5 at the moment and after an export, tracks are at 1411 kbps to be exact. The only options to choose from when exporting is the bit depth & sample rate (default sample rate is 44,100 hz), there are no options to choose the Kbps rate (seriously if there was do you really think I ...

Re: How to get a track to 320kbps
I made this thread about a day ago and just came back to it to read all the madness...
Obviously I didn't explain myself clear enough. Some of my tracks have been over-processed due to my "over-mastering" and they come out reading over 1100 kbps on my winamp player and have been rejected by several ...

Re: Tips For EQ'ing Bass Without Clipping
Depends what you're using to make your subs?
A lot of soft synths Ive used play more frequency than they -should- when making straight sine subs.
Do a narrow EQ taking out everything above 80hz.
Filter out 80hz on everything other than your sub and it'll fit and be boomy
I'll play with this ...

Tips For EQ'ing Bass Without Clipping
Looking to get a solid deep sub bass line without it overlapping the rest of my sounds. To give you somewhat idea of the smoothness I mean, listen to this Adroa track. Ignore his wobbles and sound FX and examine his sub bass, so perfect... yeah trying to reach that.

Re: Does anyone still like Rusko
Rusko and Caspa to me are like the RunDMC of dubstep because they pioneered a new sound in the genre but even though the standard sound has grown far past what they've started you can always expect their signature sound whenever you hear them.
In other words I don't think you'll ever hear Rusko ...

naw it isn't necessary. but it can be cool.. i sc pads to give them more movement.. and not to the kick drum. I sc reverbs' output sometimes if its a long tail.
All that "excessive routing to aux's" u speak of is really stupid easy though, so if u wanna use it, it shouldnt be a problem. You put ...

Re: John.D - Basswave [awful, awful music]
Thanks mate.
Sure do. Gradually learning how to get a decent sound. It's sounding alright but there's still so much to learn. This is a very rough mix though, as it is not close to completion.
Well if it sounds clear on soundcloud that says alot because they muffle down the sound quite a bit ...
