I think the first dubstep songs I heard was 'Bass Head" by Bassnectar, and then "Bass Canon" by Flux. I really think going to this concert will really push me to give making music my all. We will see...

Will try that tonight thanks. What are your thoughts on only using minor keys instead of major? I've heard that isn't a lot of major chords used in dubstep, is this true?

About a month now. When it all started I told my friend "Man, I love that kind of electro music that goes kick snare kick snare" and he was like "yeah, it's called dubstep" It was all uphill from there man.

Hasn't happened to me yet with producing dubstep but, back in the day when I was producing rap beats it happened about every five or six beats...It was the best feeling ever. I can't wait till it happens with my dubstep work.

Need some advice on melodies.
So my problem at this time is...I seem to come up with chord progressions that sound really good, but when it comes to making a melody to go over my chords...nothing. I've played guitar for years but was always a rhythm kinda guy. Should I focus more on learning scales? Improvisation? Sorry if this ...

lol That sucks. I just see all these "massive 500 pre-sets" packs and "1500 awesome pre-sets" and I get a little skeptical about packs like those that are free. What about Harmless or any of the other FL studio synths?
