Re: This is THE Snare
I've only found two snares out there. If you guys want some tight samples, I'd check out MakO's sample pack. They are a little over compressed, but they are perfect in glitch hop!

I like you guys, so here's the snare from that tune originally posted, plus another one of Koan's snares heard in many of their tunes.

Re: MUST DIE! Vowel bass help
Modern Talking is a wavetable. A fantastic one. It can't suck. Throw that bitch on bend-/+ and throw the intensity at around 9 o'clock and you have a wet synth. However, the over used 'Yoi' vowel is so overused and annoying, I agree.

Re: Help with Side chaining in FL Studio
I am side chaining properly! and the limiter is after the fx. If I bounce to audio then side chain it's fine! (assuming that the effects were applied pre-bounce) The peak control is okay but it has it's limits.. Guess I'll stick to resampling, thanks guys

Help with Side chaining in FL Studio
Hey guys! I'm having a problem in FL 10, side chaining with the Fruity Limiter. Let's say I'm side chaining my bass bus to my kick and snare. If I have Ohmicide, or an EQ on my bass bus, when I side chain the effects from my bass bus apply to what it's side chained to. Can anyone help? I know I can ...

Re: Knife Party and the Loudness War
Yeah like someone said, dance music is a different thing, its not live music with natural dynamics, it uses strict samples over and over again, with the same level values. Also with this style, it may not even be the limiting that is doing it, the composition of the tracks means that every last ...

mromgwtf - thanks for that. I've started getting some nice sounds using you're settings, and with some more filtering I think it could sound gnarly

Re: Sampling drums - pro's and cons
I've been told not to layer kicks unless they are highpassed and lowpassed accordingly... The same person also told me just to use one kick and make it beefy with EQ'ing.

I came across a pack of raggae skanks a while ago that a guitarist recorded. It had both 5th and 7th chord skanks for every note in two octaves. Anyone familiar with this, because I would like to redownload i

Re: Can someone really explain to me the 3-note rule?
I will choose a key and I will use any note in that key in my melodies, even sometimes going flat from my root note for that evil sound. transitioning melodies is simple. listen to protest the hero and take note of all the different melodies there are and how they flow. They stick two completely ...

Re: The Official Growl Bass Thread
That's a pretty neat sound there Maxaan. Definitely could see that sounding great in a glitch tune.
