Re: Slenderman Remix Contest!

Yeah, if ya doing a remix contest ya kinda need to bounce all the stems you deem necessary, preferably all of em. Severely limiting possible takers otherwise.

Datsik - Vitamin D

Couldnt find a thread on this one. Whats everyones thoughts on the album?

Just picked it up and about half way through, seems solid so far. Definately a fan of Evilution and Fully Blown.

Also, the bastard used one of my favorite samples in the first damn track. Damn you Datsik!

Re: Radiohead - Bloom [Chris Law remix]

Having never heard the origional, I cant speak to the quality of the track as a remix, but i must say Im loving the sound of it. Something that caught my ear was the glitchy sound effects just before the snare hits in the intro, very nicely done man :)

Re: Kawook - Dahu (Deep,Weighty)

Havn't listened to your sig tune yet, but in regards to the top one, it sounds very heavy, and i like what the sub is doing. Im especially liking the drum elements, sounds like you've actually put effort into the drums being more than just basic and boring, nice one

Re: Audilepsy - Mercury (free Deathstep)

The vocal sample is great, the kicks during the intro sound amazing, only thing i would do differently is maybe isolate the vocal samples more. It could just be me, but I feel they're too blurred into the rest of the track. Otherwise, great work, I love it.

JBear - Dark One (Cos I cant think of a better name)FreeDL

Been kinda stuck trying to find my own sound for a while, I do a Music Technology course at college and teachers keep telling me to be more unique, although thats h...

Samples Thread

I searched and found nothing quite like this thread, so here goes. I thought this would be a good place to share those cool free samples you may have found, that either aren't quite for you and you think others could make good use of them, or you just plain old dont mind others having too. This may ...

Re: Time stretching in logic...

nothing to do with logic's limitations, it's the limitations of the science behind timestretching without changing pitch. It's done using FFT which is always a compromise between accurate pitch or accurate rhythm. Some other time stretching software might allow you to change the FFT window size whi...

Re: Finishing Tunes!*#!!

I often find I start something and change different elements so many times I totally lose direction and end up with 32 bars of weird intro that never gets developed. Either that or I cant push myself past the intro at all. After working so long on the first 32 - odd bars (I like to have a very clear...

Re: Hit 'n' Mix

The whole idea seems a bit 'meh' to me. I don't get their target audience. Serious producers aren't gonna want to spend more than a few minutes to see how it works, and people who really want to get into music will quickly move up to a standard DAW. I can't see how this thing has any space to fill a...
