i recently started to play around with granular synthesis & frequency modelling and brought up 2-3 rough sketches. what'ya guys think? is it worth continuing on this path or shall i try another workflow?

i'm pretty sure that after half an hour of trying this you get a very similar effect:
dblue glitch, automated speed of retrigger and gain + pitch. resampled, split frequencies + highs are coming a bit later and are panning.

yea, indeed. though there are hard times in every of our tracks, we sometimes have to pause a single track and keep on working on a different one OR spend some time with reading. whenever i read or watch about a new technique which i didn't know about, i actually fire up ableton and check it out in ...

well, i've written my own little midi slicer-preset in ableton which works pretty well. it uses an mpc w/ it's release bound to a macro. leaves you a lot of freedom considering the lengths. get a vocoder or melodyne afterwards and you're good to go.
