Re: xKore's Domination Bass
These guys squash the living fuck out of their tracks. No dynamics whatsoever. The sound design is cool but the songs would be so much better if they didn't sound like shit You use Ableton, too. So what do you mean? It's overcompressed? Because I do not notice what you're referring to. But it's pro...

Re: xKore's Domination Bass
kind of sounds like the scream filter in massive as well. You're right! And it's awesome because I use Massive! I'll give it a go! Thank you :) Also, I've just opened a project and started making some interesting wobbles and freq splitting. I'm doing this from now on. It's a lot of work but boy doe...

Re: xKore's Domination Bass
I guess with a reece bass it wouldn't matter a whole lot if you multiband vs. multitrack the freqs. Reece's can't sound much more messed up. What I wanna know, now is how did he get the texture for it. It ALMOST sounds just like white noise/pink noise with some distortion. But I tried and it doesn't...

Re: xKore's Domination Bass
Thanks, man! Yeah, I used to record metal/hardcore and I tried doing that and it sounded garbage, so I scrapped it but I probably did it with a less-than-desirable bass for the example. And I like loud, I like big and aggro. Always have. So when considering what a good mix/master is, it tends to be ...

Oriental Dog Fight (brostep?, trytoohard-step)
http://soundcloud.com/ti40alloy/oriental-dog-fight It would mean a lot for anyone to tear this apart for me. I'm not sure if I'll even finish it. But I know it's been a learning process, making what I have, thusfar. It's very short because I've spent a lot of time chasing my tail making sure everyt...

xKore's Domination Bass
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2alSUZq7ZII Are you fucking serious with this guy? Listen to that fluttering WIDE bass. You'll know what it is the SECOND you hear it. I understand a big part as to why it sounds SOOOOO wide is the contrast between it and the rest of the mix. It's the widest thing. But...

Discovery [First attempt at mastering]
The only real part I like about this is the fact that my sound is kind of original at the drop. But I'm not a fan of my songwriting. Please criticize the crap out of this: <iframe width="100%" height="166" scrolling="no" frameborder="no" src="http://w.sou...

Re: Looking for some hard criticism. New to Dubstep.
you are actually getting positive feedback for this garbage? get to know bass music first. Oh you're so cool man, you were producing in your mothers womb, right? Why don't you go back to the secret ninja thread where it's totally acceptable to make unconstructive posts? @op everyone starts somewher...

Re: Looking for some hard criticism. New to Dubstep.
you are actually getting positive feedback for this garbage? get to know bass music first. That's the kind of feedback I'm looking for, unfortunately you were immature and useless about it. Care to tell me what I could do to better understand what it is I'm not doing right? Emphasize. What is it ab...

Re: Looking for some hard criticism. New to Dubstep.
It's three kicks layered together and EQ'd. I added a Maximizer and boosted around 8k and 3k and then added a low shelf to get those gritty bottom end freq's out into the mix. I have one kick, it's a higher, more punchy one. I have a middy one which gives that chest thump. And then the last one is a...

Looking for some hard criticism. New to Dubstep.
Hey, So I just started producing with Reason 5. And I'm not even sure I like it. But that's a different story. I'm looking for a high-automation style. Along the lines of the newest Skrillex/Chrispy/xKore/DubbaJonny. A good reference, actually... is this video of a few, compiled. http://www.youtube....
