Re: Pokémon Compilation :: Red/Blue/Yellow (Join Now!)
I've seen that the rules have changed so that we have to do the full evolutionary chain, in that case I'd like to change my choice as someone else is already doing the Ghastly/Haunter/Gengar chain.

Re: Walking your own path
I've been trying different genres and experimenting with styles influenced by others but not an exact copy. So I keep the basics from one person, but add an original twist to create a sort of hybrid style. While it isn't entirely mine, it's a stepping stone towards my own sound.

Re: OK im sick
From Matthew Collinson I got MaCo. I have also added a small description which makes the name sound better.
For those who have played Final Fantasy 7 (a favourite game of mine) you will know Mako (MaCo would be pronounced the same :P) is the energy the planet runs on within the game world. Not only ...

Re: December 1st Plans..
I'm still working on creating my own unique sound, will hopefully have another experimental song done by the end of this month. Going to spend most of next year focussing on releasing some songs independently and building up a small fanbase. Also hope to generally improve my production ability ...

Re: New to producing
The problem with choosing the right software (Ableton, Logic, FL studio etc.) is that everyone is gunna say there's is better than the next. Normally the first one you learn to use is the one you use for life (almost anyways). I would suggest Logic, however I am a Logic user. I wouldn't suggest ...

FMJ - Skylines [Chilled/Future Garage]
This is the first of many experimental pieces I will be doing.
I am currently bored of all the "dubstep" that's being played all the time and decided to go back to a more chilled, sub heavy brand without distortion and fart noises :) So this is my first attempt at coming up with my own signature ...

Re: Ambient Dubstep : Sounds and Samples?
Lots of reversed things.
Lots of reversed reverbed things.
Dubtechnoey chords and stabs made from pads. Field recordings and time-stretched, pitched down things for atmos.
That's pretty much my staple, eg:

Re: Ambient Dubstep : Sounds and Samples?
I like the sound of adding samples of footsteps, I was thinking of starting a tune with a sample of rain beating down gently on a window, leading into a droning piano with some echo. What do people use for snare samples? I find that having a dry, snappy snare sounds a bit harsh amongst the low ...

Ambient Dubstep : Sounds and Samples?
Hey, I'm sort of new around here but I've struck a mental block on a particular subject.
I've really got into Ambient Dubstep recently (Phaeleh mainly) but I have a question:
What sort of instruments/sounds/samples work well in an Ambient Dubstep track?
I mean Bongos tend to work well, and so do ...

Re: Fenrir - Lavender Town/Beleth/Mephistopheles
Your tunes are particularly brutal, very sharp and destructive however there doesn't seem to be alot of bass within the mix. Whether this intentional or not, a deep sub underneath your brutal basslines would help thicken out your tracks as they sound very dry and thin. The tunes are still pretty ...

FMJ - Subterranean
Hey guys, so I'm new to this forum and I've started getting into producing Dubstep. This is my first attempt and I'm looking for some feedback so I can improve my abilities.
