for those who might be unaware it's a genre similar to dutch house / big room / fidget. the off beat filthy bass with the bouncy ...

Re: Dimension Expander vs. Gated Reverb on basses

http://www.xferrecords.com/freeware/
theres a dimension expander I use from this site. I only really use it on high end unless the bass I'm working with is way too mono. (if that makes sense)

Stumbled upon this the other day and it's too good not to share. Bunch of glitchhop/electronic producers from the Portland area shooting the breeze on music, production etc...episode 2 has a discussion on Ableton 9 & Push vs. Maschine controller ...

Maybe the Dub Siren VST will help you.
Thanks for the tip, and that's a kickin' VST, but I can't quite get the sound im looking for. Its also in a lot of dubstep songs

Re: Switching from Fruity Loops to Ableton

You do know about the live mode in FL Studio, right? If not, here's a demo. It's pretty much the same as what you get with ableton live as far as I know.

Thats really wicked, mixing spontaneous patterns created in FL Studio, is this Version out yet ?

Re: The Official Growl Bass Thread

anyone with FL Studio can use poizone to thier advantage really really well. use the cutoff and reso in the MOD section.. turn the reso to full, make the cutoff at 0. make the kbtrk and veltrk (or whateverr they are) face each other (far right one in the mod section should be pointing left, the ...

Re: dubstep in fl studio

hmmm. fl studio works great. it's awesome for mix downs and mastering even. it does everything I want it to do with my midi instruments and I've even recorded whole bands with my analog mixer and fl studio. I'm sure we've all heard this. I'd say this is some good ass dubstep made with fl studio ...

Re: Why is there a HOUSE board on a DUBSTEP forum?

As nice as this is , its hardly likely to inspire me to seek more in this genre to be honest.

people like different things, you know?

I find it strange that you would genre lock your self. what would happen if I slowed this song down to 115-130 bpm. would it be considered house? all dubstep ...

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *

@wewuk: I like the atmosphere and the minimalisticness (<diggin that word I just made up) is flowing and groovy. I'm not sure if the snare fits the kick that great. maybe less high on the snare. I would filter it. my opinion though. it kinda grew on me but I would still filter it ha sounds good all ...

Re: Seinheisser HD25s

OP, those are some serious DJ headphones, not really built for production. However, as other people have said, it can be done.

For the longest time I was producing on Sony MDR-270s, and before that I was using some Optimus Nova 57s. Now I produce and DJ with my Sennheiser HD 201s, which I think ...

Re: Summer Production!!!!!!! shhheeeiiiiiit

I think it's odd to have a production schedule. there are times when I don't feel like making beats or writing music. during those times I don't make music, but I would imagine my concentration and focus would not be on production. just try and produce whenever you feel like it. if you're trying to ...
