Re: DSF Q&A 21: Objekt

Its really cool that you can still talk with forum peons like myself even after success! XD I was wondering if you a default template for starting new tunes. Like you, I work a day job and when I get home I only have 2-3 good hours to get the creative juices flowing. I tend to start with drums, but ...

Re: How should electronic music be judged?

This thread title may have been a bit misleading...we all decide whether we like songs or not regardless of genre...I am just curious to how we decide we like songs or not. Whether consciously or not, we all base our judgement on a certain list of criteria. So for future replies, analyze what goes t...

How should electronic music be judged?

Just curious what people listen for when they hear a new dubstep tune or any electronic music for that matter. For me, its really whether or not I can move to it or feel it. But I pay a lot of attention to drums, production value, and creativity. What does the dubstep community think?

Re: Nite Life - Electric Bus (130 BPM, Bass)

Thanks for listening man. This actually started out as a potential 1-2 min intro song for an album I've been working on, but it's escalated to what you hear now. I'm going to go in and take out necessary elements and repetitive drops. I'll re-post on this thread. (the tail is just me accidentally ex...

So I've been working on this tune on and off, and I keep getting stuck. I like most of it, but I feel like something is missing or not quite right. Feedback???

Re: Aaliyah "Try Again" Remix

I'd like to hear some more interesting transitions. Maybe try building effects up to those points where audio cuts. Just my opinion. Very nice song overall.

Re: Nite Life - Bus Stop (130 bpm)

By properly bassy drop, do you mean making them more punchy? On my subs the bass line is already pretty heavy. I suppose I could make a different chord progression as well.... Thanks for all comments, I'll repost after I've made significant changes
