its all preference. I know a studio who uses 3 different pairs of monitors, and activates/deactivates the sub . its whatever works best for the track

Sounds like it could use some more reverb/stereo imaging and some background FX with some high end to give it some atmosphere

I usually duplicate my patches and take out all the FX, High end gain, and make it monophonic if not already. Try cutting out a little bit more of the low end. And make the release faster. Make sure any reverb on them is at a short decay as well as all the low cut out. That's my only options. If not try a new sample

use a phone or something with a recording device and hum the melodies. That's how i remember em

in ableton live you can use the warp featured on piece of audio to transpose it. Not quite sure how to have a smooth buildup other than +1 per clip or -1 per clip. Maybe some bend effects that keep the pitch growth more dull than sudden transposes

Get the alesis I02 interface which plugs into your computer via USB. You can then run the audio from the computer, through the interface, out to the monitors. That particular interface is very small, cheap, and has 2 XLR inputs.. L and R
