Re: Is Massive Anything Special?

Massive is hands down my favorite VST. The sounds you can get out of that synth just blow me away and you don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure it out either.

Re: Cracked software = cracked sound

Interesting thread and I think there are valid points being made on both sides of the argument. First off, cracked software certainly doesn't equate to "cracked sound," nobody is re-writing the engine, they are just removing the protection. Now I will admit, I have used pirated software in...

Re: List Of Members Collaboration // Collabs Thread

JHolland What DAW do you use? Reason 6 and Reaper 4 (Reason is my primary tool) How long have you been producing for? Off and on around 10 years, however I took a long break from it and just got serious with it again this year. I wrote Drum n Bass "back in the day." What VSTs do you favou...

Re: Worth switching from Reason?

Already been said but rewire Reason into your favorite DAW and get the best of both worlds. I have been a Reason user for years but have been wanting VST support so I have been rewiring v6 into Reaper recently and using Reaper as the VST host. Love the combo!

Re: gain structure and mixing aka THE MONEYSHOT THREAD

I think this is the best thread that I have ever read in my long history of going on internet forums (and that goes back a long way!). Big up macc and everybody else who has contributed such great knowledge and information to this one. Proper mixdowns are something that I have always struggled with ...

Re: Problems to make my tunes "Full"

- Finally, get yourself a copy of a tune you like, and listen to it over and over, making notes on what element are in the mix and arrive at what times This. Listening to and breaking down the structures of various different tunes that I am into has helped me so much in composing my own arrangement...

Re: Wrist pain after production

It happens. I have suffered with chronic low back pain for at least a year as a result of hours of sitting in front of a computer (both at work and at home) combined with poor posture. Trying to get that fixed now. Like people already said, ergonomics and DEFINITELY taking periodic breaks to stretch...

Re: The Reason Q&A Thread

In regards to reason RV7000 unit, i think its a pretty good device. It's quite flexiable in what it can do, and you can achieve all sorts of different reverb sounds from that one unit, but i love just to simply initialize the patch and start from scratch and create some real kool sounds. the algori...

Re: Brostep / Skrillex and the Forum.

As unpopular as this may sound to many on here, I think the ridiculous term BROSTEP should be dropped altogether . I am not asssuming everyone here lives in the bubble of this forum on this subject. But absolutely NO one out there reffers to their musical taste as Brostep, NO artists reffers to the...
