Re: The Official Growl Bass Thread

Sounds pretty dope. I wouldn't mind seeing how you did this maybe screenshots?. It sounds a little harsh in my opinion but with a little tweaking could probably sound pretty full. Yea I apologize for the harshness, I didn't have my production headphones when I made this, just played around on my la...

Re: The Official Growl Bass Thread

Could someone explain what exagarated eq means? Seen others say it aswell, no idea what it means tho Definetly! So, well you understand normal EQ right? Whether that be low passing, notching, slight bell curves and such? Well basically take that up UP the gain and or Q! http://imgur.com/AmPfnb1,33K...

I like this, are there official stems for Get Free or is it a bootleg?
Yea, they're the official stems, I got em off a remix comp they had a little while back during the summer, I believe.

Re: The Official Growl Bass Thread

Pretty sure WOW filter covers any sort of vowel sounds you want to do. Personally I don't use WOW, instead I use Live's macro function to interpolate EQ settings (and all other kind of shit) in my growls. Too bad not every DAW has this function. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ohmVka2zt5M :) That sh...

Re: The Official Growl Bass Thread

Hey guys, I need some advice on vowel movement, specifically more Wahow, woah, Euhhh, type of sounds. I am able to make some gritty and big growls within massive + external processing and fx and jazz, but I can only seem to get a "Yah yah yah" sound Case in point, you can hear them in my t...

Re: The Official Growl Bass Thread

I was giving some tips to some guy through soundcloud about making growls. There is some useful information so I can post it here. Nope, I made it in fl studio. Actually I realised it's one of my bad growls, I made better ones. Not sure what do you think, but huh, whatever. All those growl sounds I...

Re: The Official Growl Bass Thread

Heya guys. So I made this growl like wobble I thought I'd share. Note that I haven't EQ'd off the low sub area, just incase you were going to listen to it with a subwoofer. http://soundcloud.com/perikardium/monster-wobble I didn't do the normal "band rejects and notch filters" that everyon...

Re: The Official Growl Bass Thread

Hmm I am having a bit of a struggle getting a hand on one concept you guys seem to use a lot - EQ modulation. I know a lot of you guys modulate various peaks in a EQ8 or a Parametric EQ2 to make a vowel like sound for whatever synth you have going - how is this done exactly? Specifically in correlat...

Re: PeriKardium - Going Places (Electrohouse/Complextro)

Hey, this sounds really good man! So, some of my thoughts? I think those vocals before the drop, starting at 0:45 could be louder, they sound really cool. I feel like the sub bass could be louder overall. Love those parts, like at 1:33 and again 2:03, I'd be looking at ways to do more stuff like th...

Sorry for the late reply! Got busy with fam jam stuff.

Ys exactly that, or even something as simple as a volume increase. Increase it's presence over time until it hits that stand alone area!

Re: New dubstep...Feed 4 Feed?

Hmm.. When you have the bass riffs switch into the keys, coming back into the main bass meat sounds WAY to abrupt. Hmm.. I would glitch it more, that is have those keys be glitched in and out and bit more sparsely. Or, have the switch into the keys, but have the bass meat be glitched back into promi...

Re: Sahs- Future

Very fat sounding bass synth! Well rounded and boomifying! The snare's reverb, to me, makes the main snare itself lack in punch. Personally I am not a fan. Also, I think as the bass theme is ending, I felt that the beat could speed up a bit to help deliver that final punch before dying off into the ...
