I did a quick search for this but to no avail... if there's a thread I apologize, but here I go.

I have DT770's. Love em.
I also listened to DT990s, but i felt 770s had better bass response (because they're closed backed.)
On your budget, I'd recommend splurging on good headphones and getting a cheap headphone amp if ur not planning on deviating from ITB soon, so I'd spend around 150 of ur ...

I would actually recommend buying/borrowing (if you have cool friends lol) a synth with lots of knobs (you'd probably want to get analog or VA, b/c they're the simplest) , because that's the way I learned. I know the investment is ...
