Re: Triggering an effect parameter every time the kick hits
I actually have reason and ableton but I mainly use FL Studio. It's actually more efficient to side chain using Fruity Limiter. Could I link a reverb parameter to that somehow? I also just realized that it'd be really annoying to have that effect on every kick. Maybe every third down beat or ...

Triggering an effect parameter every time the kick hits
Is there a way for me to trigger a specific effect parameter every time the kick hits in FL Studio? I want to change the reverb from middle to side when the kick hits. I think it'd sound cool(in headphones at least)

Re: The FL Studio Q&A Thread
I've got a question that's been bugging me for a while now. Which volume nobs should I give the most attention too? I've started turning the channel volume all the way up and adjusting each channel's volume in the mixer track. What about plugins? all of them have level nobs, but I usually send them ...

Yeah it's simple. But it's got a nice unique sound to it. I'd also say that Sugarbytes' multieffects Turnado, artillery, and Effectrix are great!!! Very dynamic!jrisreal wrote:Looks too simple IMO. But if that's your preference, I'm not in any place to judge.

Re: Are simple synths better
Yeah I was reading the Sound on Sound Synth Secrets and read like 20 chapters of it. I can definitely get my way around a synth. I'm gonna check these resources out though. Thanks!

Yeah! Minimogue VA is great! It has the arpeggiator and the chorus fx, but it doesnt eat all your CPU like the Arturia plugs do.

Re: Are simple synths better
It depends on how knowledgeable you are about synthesis as well. Some of the simpler ones can be easier to get things done in because of less options available, so it's less confusing and time consuming.

Re: Are simple synths better
My first synth was a Roland Juno-106, which is a hardware synth. Its features would probably seem limited compared to most soft synths out these days with only one oscillator, one filter, one LFO and one envelope. Yet this synthesizer is still one of my favorites and I have gotten so many good ...

Re: Are simple synths better
Yeah that's how I usually do it. I have ADHD so it's really hard for me to focus on getting a complex sound out of a GUI that's big with a lot goin on like Massive or Super Wave p8, or Thor in Reason. I can get complex sounds out of sample manipulation, synthesis, and effects chaining. I can deal ...

Are simple synths better
I have a lot of synth Vsti and I've noticed that I keep coming back to the really basic ones. I've only used Massive in one song and some of the other big boys I've never actually even finished a song with. I've made so many song with the free tweak bench plugins that it's got me wondering if ...

Re: Essential Vst's?
Check out Tweak Bench Ritual. It's a bass synth that is fat as all get out. It's very simple but can create a nice variety of sounds due to its delay, LFO and envelope modulation. The mod map is pretty comprehensive for the simplicity of the thing. Its also free!!!! I use it more than any other synth ...

when I play it on other notes the sample becomes shorter, modulates quicker... and doesn't sound right.
How do samplers work? When you tell the sampler to play the sample at a different pitch, it just speeds it up or slows it down. This is completely normal. If you don't want that to happen, you ...

Re: best iOS/android music productions apps
The iPhone was already around when I started producing. I used sfxr to make a bunch of songs in the beginning. That being said, you're probably not going to make a full song on your iPhone. That's why I like imaschine, it gives me the satisfaction of building a song but it doesn't give me the ...
