Thanks guys! I will definitely have to check those other guys out, really like that style. Edited out the silence too, that was definitely annoying. Going to toy with touching up the highs here soon cause I think I can hear that it might need a little boost as well.

I'm not very great at mixdowns myself, but from listening to it on my KRK's it sounded pretty good man. The only thing I really caught was like the other guy said, the kick does seem to get lost. Really like the melody and dirty bass though!

Use snappy clap and a punchy snare sample in layers until you have a pretty good source sample.
