Re: Charlie Brooker on clubs...thoughts?

im pretty sure its true that the rave era came and went, not just because they were first, and the music was new, or whatever.. just cuz it was a real period of time, and it definitely ended. but remember all young kids think they invented the wheel, and all older folks forget how crazy younguns can...

Re: Piracy and its effects

i might as well just come out and say I'm a professional composer. There are a lot of markets for media and a lot of ways people screw other people with it because of the nature of digital media so i have a personal stake and thats why i'm sensitive about it No one owns the idea or memory of a music...

Re: Piracy and its effects

i doubt you could point anything out , as you're clearly a moron who likes to resort to calling people shits who disagree with your narrow minded viewpoint. If freeware gets downloaded for free, the developer isn't going to get upset and quit their job. keep cracking Massive, and NI will stop relea...

Re: Piracy and its effects

what the hell does being poor, starving, or third world civilizations have to do with this? The difference between freeware and cracks, is that the people who built freeware wanted it to be free. You clearly have never been in a position where you needed your work to earn you money. It's called comp...

Re: Piracy and its effects

They aren't selling The Software They're selling you the right to use it on one machine. Next time you build enough freeware to prove you're competent, attract enough investors to pay yourself a living wage, while spending your time going to work every day coding a piece of software that does someth...

Re: Setting a synth to Mono?

if you don't want to use a plugin to collapse it to mono, just do this: 1. finish the patch, MIDI note entry, and any automation so you're essentially "done" with the synth 2. Pan the synth's signal hard left, inside the synth if possible, but if not then use the channel's pan 3. Set the s...

Re: Piracy and its effects

In the past 5 years i haven't stolen a single song. I have bought a lot and taken a lot of time to dig through my parents and grandparents CD's, archiving the good stuff. So i have a great collection of legit music (and lossless quality is well worth it). to be honest i would steal music again if th...

Re: Piracy and its effects

if there's an attempt at justifying piracy in here... i missed it. It's intellectual property. not nuts and bolts and tires on a bike. If the owner allows streaming/widgets, then streaming it or embedding it is not theft. If they don't allow downloading, then illicitly sourcing a download of it for ...
