wow this got off topic. My data cannot be recovered because I was forced into re installing windows.

Topic pretty much says it all. It is completely my fault because I re installed windows, with everything backed up to a harddrive that i also use as my Xbox. Xbox configured it and lost it off the hard drive while i was setting up computer. Anyways I am wondering where I should go for the best ...

There's 18000000 threads on mixing man and asking us if you've mixed something to your preference correctly without even providing audio is pointless. Its impossible to say. Just a/b with well mixed tracks and do whatever it takes to make yours sound like that.

Right now my mixing process goes something like this

adjust channel volumes (individual and then buss
EQ individual channels
Sidechain compress what I feel is necessary

Don't over-do it. Sacrificing good tone for a sterile mix isn't generally a good idea.

Also, use good filters...I've taken a recent interest in "Engineers Filter" which is great IMO. Good sound, low latency, steep curves...don't see how anyone can go wrong with that.

Not going for a overwhelming feel. Just a little glitchy, midrange, dark, uk style dubstep tracki made and enjoy. but am still striving to get better. Y'alll better let me know how ya feel.
