Re: Legion Hill - Norway [bass]
Hey, that's a nice suggestion, thanks. I'm definitely feeling like it could use a bit of an edge.. don't want it to sound too sappy or something. Appreciate it.

Rough Coast - Last Words
Back in the producing game, looking for a wee bit of feedback and advice. Or if you like the tune, that's cool too. Thanks for listening!

DMG - Atlantic and CCU (looking for feedback)
Hi, I've been producing steady for a couple months now and finally getting some stuff I want to get some feedback on. So I have these two tunes 'CCU' and 'Atlantic''. Please, criticize away with regard to mixing, sampling, structure, ANYTHING. I'm looking to improve here so don't hold back. Cheers ...

Re: Not really sure how to program synths..
Cheers guys, thanks for the tips. I'll definitely do a bit of reading while I mess around. Does anyone have any ideas for the synths on the three tunes I posted? I find it helps me to have a bit of a starting point or starting direction when I'm experimenting, especially new.

Re: Not really sure how to program synths..
Pretty much. I've made a few bass sounds that I'm happy with and know generally how envelopes and filters work, but not how to use them properly. Just from messing around.

Not really sure how to program synths..
So I bought Massive but I am having a hard time getting some of the sounds I like listening to. I plan on continuing to mess around with it and experiment but I thought I'd make a post on here just to see if anyone can give me advice to save me a bit of time. So here are a couple sounds I'm aiming ...

08.02.2013: Jimmy Edgar and Machinedrum (JETS) at XOYO
This should be cool. I'm traveling to London for the weekend to see some music and since I don't know anyone there at all, I'd be pumped to me up with some people with similar music tastes who want to hang in the city. If you're interested, let me know!

Re: Burial - Kindred
There's this...thing? Right before the third bit of Ashtray Wasp, that sounds like someone in an alley being attacked by some vicious creature. There's always one or two unsettling, kinda David Lynch-styled moments in each of his releases; there was the "you look different" in In McDonalds, the ...

Re: Burial - Kindred
Didn't actually listen to the review, I don't get the point of them to be honest. I make my own mind up about music. (This goes for reviews in magazines and stuff too, not just picking on this guy or any other youtube reviewer. If you have ears you shouldn't listen to what anyone else thinks imo ...

Re: Burial - Kindred
Pitchfork gave it a 8.7, "best new music", not always in agreement with P-Fork, but despite the awfully poorly written review, I'm happy to see music like Burial gets the recognition it deserves.
I liked the review. I didn't really find that it reeked of pretension the way a lot of their writing ...
