Oh sorry yeah this is how it sounds uncompressed. I really don't want to change anything from what it is now. It seems like the slightest bit of compression or limiting I throw on throws the whole mix off, and I really like where its at right now.
What's the point in sending the uncompressed one ...

Re: Special VST?
Alright when I compress, it over compresses the drums [which are already fat sounding hits] so I have to lower the levels, so it makes the drums sound over compressed and weak because I have to turn them down. The effect it has on the bass is that pumping that happens [even lightly compressed?] in ...

Re: Further Education for EDM production?
I am also first year of college and I have been wandering the same thing. So I done the usual google/youtube business, asked my friends and lecturers as well as reading some interviews with producers. From this I gathered that it just depends how you prefer to learn. Some people like the structure ...

Re: How to tell what note your kick is hitting?
You don't technically tune your drums to match the key of the track. Drums don't have harmonics in a regular pattern like other instruments, the harmonics of drums are scattered around the spectrum irregularly so they don't land on any particular note. You can pitch it so it doesn't interfere with ...
