Check out the rest of the LA scene. Guys like Teebs (my personal fave), Flying Lotus, Tokimonsta, Samiyam, Low Limit/Lazer Sword. Mike Slott is an Irish head based in NY atm, very good stuff, kidkanevil is another producer in this vein. Sango has most (all?) his work up for free on Bandcamp, ditto ...

Reading through this thread made me join this forum. I have always been caught up with trying to achieve the maximum perceived loudness, because that's what everyone says to do. Never thought about approaching mixing in a way that allows the tune to breath a bit. I will definitely apply some of the ...
