Re: Formant Table

I still don't understand how the bw (Hz) number correlates to the "q" in Ableton's eq eight. Anyone willing to explain?

Re: Inconsistencies in Massive

After checking restart via gate should I move any of the parameters directly below the check box?

Re: Inconsistencies in Massive

I thought it was the detuned o/c too but it isn't. And no modulation really, just envelopes in massive. I am going to check the "restart via gate" tonight and I will let you guys know. Thank you!

Inconsistencies in Massive

Anyone else having weird inconsistencies with Massive? For example, I have a synth that randomly loses an oscillator or becomes very weak and almost non-existent. Then, all of a sudden it comes back and so on for my whole session. This has happened before with 3 sin waves used for sub. In a sense, i...

Re: Melodic Intro

Yeah that's a good point.. Usually it goes intro then like breakdown to the build-up. So definitely the last few bars are what you need to "fit" right

Melodic Intro

Anyone have ideas on how producers have these really melodic intro's and then the drop fits with intro? I don't know how to really explain it but like the relationship between the intro synths and the bass sounds I guess.

Re: Designing Basslines

I always get a basic kick snare hat pattern going because creating melodies, baselines, and sounds is a lot easier when you have drums providing some groove and inspiration.

Sampler

What are you guys' favorite samplers? I currently am using the ableton live sampler and really like the simplicity of everything, and it's layout!

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *

@Jetpack I really like the tune but one thing I think you could do would be adding something like a sidestick to your snare to really give it that punchy click and make the track that much more powerful. @Cheeky The vibe is awesome and your transitions between segments are seamlessly integrated. Kee...

I have been fascinated with this Trolley Snatcha sound forever.. Any ideas?? Starts at 0:27. Reminds me of a G-Funk synth wobbled
