Re: Latency In Ableton
Thanks for all of the feedback! I definitely never use pirated software. Not my thing...but good point. I figured out that I couldn't use my command8 control surface with ableton the way I can use it with protools hd. With protools I had my midi keyboard connected to my command8---the command8 was t...

Re: Latency In Ableton
I took all of the plugins off, just now, except for the vst synths. I have 3 instances of Massive ( using only 1 voice per instance ), 2 instances of Albino 3, and 2 of Abletons drum kits...its still doing it;-( There's no way it should be bogged down. I figured with the computer I now have ( 8 core...

I'm rather new to Ableton...I'm trying to show patience. I stared a new session and have had no real problems until I get to the 7th track. When I trying recording a midi performance with Albino 3 ( or any vst instrument ) I just can't, due to so much latency while I play;-(. There has to be a solut...

Re: Audio interface and computer
Your question is almost troll like. I was dying when I read that because I can see your point of view. You'll have to excuse my inexperience in the world of "native"... I've always used Pro Tools HD and never really had to focus on the computers processing power and such. The last t...

Hey guys, I'm in the middle of creating a new Abelton set up in my studio. I'd really like some opinions... I currently have a PT HD set up but I need a more creative daw to work on several of my clients project--no disrespect to PT user. I absolutely love Abelton and own it. Unfortunately the tower...

Re: Audio Interface and Computer
Sorry about posting in the wrong section...I recognized that after I posted:-(. I'll be more mindful.
From the sound of your response, it sounds like I'm going into the zone of over kill? I'd take workable suggestions...lord knows I'd prefer to spend less.

Protools 7.4
Hello everyone...I'm new to the forum so I figured I'd get the the first thing out of the way---yup, I use protools 7.4|HD. In the past I've usually produced hip-hop to rock, to even some dance...cough cough-country-cough... etc...but I'm getting tons of requests to work on implementing dubstep styl...

Re: newcomers -> introduce yourself here
Hello Everyone! When it comes to the studio world I'd like to consider myself very capable and quite experienced:-)...but the production steps behind dubstep music really have me baffled. I hope most of you show a bit of patience with my questions to you in this amazing musical genre. A very big tha...
