Re: Mixing on headphones at 80% stereo width

KOAN used to do his mixdowns on 15€ headphones. (Source: Dodge & Fuski Dubstep Tutorials)
I think it´s really just a matter of learning how your headphones or speakers sound.

Re: taming unwanted frequencies

I think the sweeping technique is your best shot Neonmansion. Would assume there is different bad frequencies for each different sample you use.

Re: Getting synths to have more swing/groove

Drag the curve in Massive´s LFO a bit to the right and mess around with LFO rates without sync. I`m sure there are other ways also, but this works. :)

@SMOR3S
Cool, thank you. Your track sounds good, I crave more energy here though. Maybe sidechaining more extreme, add some Daft Punk ish arp synth line? Hmm, nice work.

Re: Help with labels?

Are you in the process of being signed, or are you thinking about the future? Either way. Follow your instinct, if some one wants to screw you over they will do that. If they really make a lot of coin on music you initially have produced but never signed over or got royalties from - I´m sure your pr...

Ok, thanks alot for your feedback. ;) I`ll beef up the kick with more low end, maybe pan less extreme and give the other elements more space in the mix. Good pointers!

Re: WIP Thread - GIVE FEEDBACK TO OTHERS BEFORE POSTING!!!

@SMOR3S Yeah, the main bass line should definitely hit harder. More sub is a good idea, maybe I can cram some more filth in there some place also. And thank you, Rusko is absolutely one of my long time favorites! :h: Your track sounds good, you got nice punch to your drums. :W: The sharp lead pad t...

Yeah!! Pretty fucking cool. Trap step!! Oh and the drop hits real good, loving how "simple" it sounds - yet it`s not at all. Wonderful riffs and phrases. Downloading this! Oh man, thanks.

Re: WIP Thread - GIVE FEEDBACK TO OTHERS BEFORE POSTING!!!

@blinkesko Fet intro! Kult pianoriff. Sounds good and well balanced to me. ;-) @mthrfnk Chill and nice vibe to this one. Liking the melodic aspect of the track nicely. Electric guitar solo at the second part was a nice touch, maybe you should drench it even more in flanger and a huge highpassed and...

Thrillion - WIP (FUBITCH) (Dubstep/Wonky)

Whatsup dubstepforum people! 8) I`m a 28 year old male, and have been making music on my computers since I was a little brat. Working hard to get into Dub step - most difficult genre IMO (besides Prog-Psy-Jazz-Folk?). Loving the challenge though. My favorite producers right now: Gemini, Xcilent, Rus...

Re: Question about presets and ableton

This is regarding drum beats and certain FX sounds. Would it be cheating to use presets? And regarding drum samples, would it be best to make your own kick beat, hats, snares, etc? I'm not even sure how to do it but I'm sure I could learn if possible. And also... I recently made the switch over fro...
