Re: The things that pissed you off today ™ thread

so easy to lose inspiration when your parents tell you to 'get a real job and stop making music all day' - I really fucking hope gigging my planned EP will be paying the rent next time they visit - thanks for taking the wind out of my sails when Ive got a deadline to meet - yeah, a welding job will ...

Re: [production bible 2] Soundcards

I know this probably sounds like a stupid question, but whats wrong with just using the audio out jack on my laptop? Also, I recently got a presonus firestudio, but havent been able to install it yet because Im using fruityloops through parallells on my macbook, and it gets all confused - does a ...

Re: The Creative Process?

Yeah, I guess Ive just hit another fairly steep level of the learning curve - its always hard wrapping your head round new concepts and then trying to apply it successfully in your music, but I guess I can be happy that at the end of it my music will (hopefully) sound alot better - then Ill be ready ...

Re: Keeping motivated

use the search to see how people deal with it, theres one of these threads like once a week

actually, I just incidentally, and unknowingly created another one of them - which makes me wonder, hell, if there are soooo many posts on this same topic, why dont the moderators make a specific section ...

The Creative Process?

hey guys, maybe Im getting cabin fever having nothing to do but scrutinize my own music all day, but I feel like maybe the beats in my new songs sound too canned - theyre mostly mixed and chopped up samples and beats from downloaded pre-made loop packages - cause Im having real trouble with making ...

Re: newcomers -> introduce yourself here

Hey all, Im a big fan of more chilled out dubstep (or chillstep, if you wanna call it that) and love the way that dubstep has such great potential as a genre, which I beleive we're only just beginning to explore - I joined this site mainly to suss out the dubstep scene in New Zealand, and also to ...
