An easy idea\fix to try out would be this...
Let’s say your pad\string is playing on the note E3, also put MIDI notes on E2 and E4. Basically playing it normal, plus an octave higher and lower. A lazy way of giving it some more bass and some more highs.

Re: Slowing down the increase movement (Massive)
I'm not at my computer, but i"ll give it a go... Massive is set by default to match the tempo of your track. You can change this, and set it to whatever you want. Let say your tune is a 140BPM... change the tempo in Massive to 70BPM. This should make the sweep slower. You could mess around with...

Re: Chord Progressions & scales questions
It would take an entire book on harmony to explain this. Try buying/acquiring a copy of 'Harmony For Computer Musicians' by Michael Hewitt, I've found it's a very good guide to how to build all the different chords. Essentially it's all about the different intervals between each note in the chord, ...

Re: ABLETON USERS PLEASE HELP :(
try to freeze a track, then flatten the track, then drag it into the ableton library folder somewhere. I think that should give you a bounced out wave file of each track you do it to.
The only real way around this is to buy the thing.

Re: The new Computer Music tells you how to isolate vocals..
This isn’t possible, at least not in the way everyone is hoping it’s gonna be. We all know how shitty the quality of a DIY acapella is…. So, even if you could use the same method (provided you have 2 files specific enough to do the phase cancelation to remove the elements you want) for a synth or dr...

Re: How To Make This Sound - August 2012
I'm looking to make that Electro Plucking sound I've been hearing in Electro house music for a wile now. I love the sound, but can't even seem to get anything close.... to be honest, I’m not even sure were to begin. The sound can be heard in Wolfgang Gartner's "Fire Power" track: http://ww...

Re: What are the bass waves in sample packs used for
stickin them back to back will give you one long ass bassline.. gotta make sure they glew together correctly without poping and clicking in the transition between them. some famous DnB producers use only small bass samples to make their basslines, no synths. I can be done, i've messed with it myself...

Re: At what Hz do you cut your sub off at?
you cant hear bellow 20Hz, but you sure as fukk can feel it. I try to leave it (for dubstep) unless things start getting muddy. and usually if things get muddy then the sub is only one of the issues (or mistakes) i made along the way.

Re: MASSIVE NI - disappearing sub
I might be reading this wrong, but I usually don’t make my Sub wobble... just the high & mid bass wobbles and the sub is a constant 60-70 Hz sine wave. What I defiantly notice and have had issues with is that some notes will produce a much louder sub volume than others... so you can have the sam...

Re: Mistabishi CM Masterclass vid
I remember seeing him a long time ago when he first started to become popular. He was using Serato and was actually mixing if I recall correctly. He did have his whole set laid out and was going down the line not improvising or changing the order at all.

Re: running NI Massive in the red?
Did you think maybe he turned them down when mixing.... They sound just fine; if they sounded like shit I would have mos deff thought that. Actually, turning the master down makes them not sound as full. also, what would be the point in having them turned way up if you just had to turn them down la...

running NI Massive in the red?
I use Massive a lot; it's one of my main tools (I guess like many others). I've always made sure to keep the master volume down as to not red line it and run into clipping issues. A buddy of mine that makes & get's signed really good tunes gave me a few of his patches (mostly bass) to play with ...

Re: Logic for PC?
MAC OS is more stable because it doesn't use a registry like windows... but at the same time mac's are far less compatible with 3rd party software and components.
But I'm an idiot, so take it for what its worth.

Re: Logic for PC?
One thing that I like about macs is that all the components are made by apple so if there's a problem there arnt hoops to jump through to get it fixed.... At least that's been my experience with problems that aroused on my pc But really the only difference between Mac and pc is how the OS looks bot...

Re: Logic for PC?
I like the layout of Logic but I'm certainly not willing to shed out on a Mac just for that. I wanted a Mac ages ago when I wanted to get back into computer programming but they're really off putting to me, I don't want to end up like those people who worship Macs and act like they're infinitely be...
