Not necessarily, although I offer mastering for £10 theres alot of guys out there offering very poor mastering with very poor equipment for £20+. I just offer mastering at a price I feel is fair for both myself and the artist. In my eyes £20 - £30 warrents ...

I can't really tell fully but it sounds like the unmastered version was just a bit flat and not mixed down very well (no offence) and the mastered version is louder and eq'd. It definitely sounds better, but i'd like to hear another mastering engineers opinion.

Only thing I would say is when you have an audio example raise your original volume of the track to match the new mastered track. Can't just rely on loud = better, plus its very hard to listen to the actual change in dynamics and width when your original source audio is so much quieter.

Gears are useless until you have the know how. Good results just come easier with high end equipments. I'm always amazed by the hype surrounding most mastering business.

Never had a single person not like the results. I use £30K worth of studio gear its hard not to get great results. I get about 15 masters a day around 5 or so coming from this thread ( thanks everyone ...
