Re: CPU Noise/Interference in Monitors
don't use 1/8" cables, for a start. no way to keep both signaled grounded like that. So I should get an external audio interface or something? It's two XLR cables that come together into the 1/8th inch. Idk maybe that's a bad idea but the fella at Guitar Center recommended them :P I'll try out...

Re: How do i get rid of that bass whistle on soundcloud?
I've experienced the same thing before, at least I'm assuming it's the same thing I haven't listened yet. In this older song of mine it's very apparent

Re: CPU Noise/Interference in Monitors
I'm not sure what "earthing means", am I going to have to being doing any wire surgery? :\ Upon more careful listening, only the KRK on the right is experiencing the interference by the way. I'll read up on that, thanks man.

CPU Noise/Interference in Monitors
I just got my first pair of studio monitors, KRK Rokit 8s. Sorry if this is a common question but searches both in this forum and on google gets a lot of results, but all of them turn out to be related to something other than what's causing my issues. Both monitors are plugged in using balanced XLR ...

Re: Cracked software = cracked sound
Unless OP means something regarding the "state of mind" you're in regarding using cracked software, it doesn't really hold any water. I know people are saying Cubase is an exception, but most audio software (or any software for that matter) is not going to have a different quality output t...

Re: Something fun to do
A track I made utilized a lot of recorded sounds, but not the whole track. I often times beatbox for the backbeat on my drums and some hihats instead of break samples recently.

Re: A few tips for writers block.
This is good stuff. The "write everyday" point reminded me of another practice that's been helping me. I too "write everyday", but just in a journal. Doesn't matter what I write, some dear diary type shit, the word tnuc every line, a poem- just helps to start or end your day with...

Re: Is all dubstep in a minor key?
Major being "happy" and Minor being "sad" is like Fishprice's "My First Music Lesson". I have heard tunes in major which are daunting and tunes in Minor which are upbeat and make you smile. Scales are just sequences of notes and theres so many options thats eventually ...

Re: Getting ASIO to run on everything?
I use ASIO4all and it does get a little annoying. If I want to switch over to youtube or something I just quick switch back to "primary sound driver" in FL and listen to whatever I need. One thing that doesn't help though, when I switch back to primary my volume is no longer the same so if...

Re: How long does it take YOU to finish a track??
The tracks I've been most satisfied with are the ones that I finish in two three-hour sessions on two different days. I've spent as long as a month finishing a track and honestly only said I was done because I wasn't improving it anymore.

Erisol - A Wordy Adversary [Jazzy/Deep]
Sorry if it's considered bad form to make this my first non introduction post, just curious what an unbiased ear has to say about this song. I'm pretty new to music but I kinda like this one. Your time is very appreciated!

Re: newcomers -> introduce yourself here
Yo yo, I'm Erisol. I've been fuckin around with FL studio for a bout a year on and off now. I finally feel like I'm making a good amount of progress within the last few months. I don't have anyone in real life to ask questions, shoot the shit or collaborate with in regards to production so I decided...
