Re: Most innovative/unique software synths?
Alchemy definatly. That's probably to only synth I don't own that I feel like I need :cornlol: Curve has a really cool concept, but the sounds arnt much different ( nit to take away from the synth). Same with Synthmaster, which I love. I really dig Razor because you don't see too many additive synths.

Turnado is good also. The nice thing about the sugarbytes stuff is that it's the full desktop version, so you know exactly what your getting.

Are mixtkl and noatikl on android? I know they have desktop versions on the App Store, so I'm sure there are at least pc counterparts.

Agreed. Any sort of melodic doom will do you good. Check out My Dying Bride, Woods of Ypries, ect. Also some folk music can be really good. Lots of emotion in it.Genevieve wrote:Check out blogs for black, drone, stoner, doom, etc metal bands and be inspired.

Re: Beats by Dre...for A/Bing playback?
I actually use my Beats quite a bit when checking my mixes. Seeing as there super bass heavy it gives me a better representation (imo) of how things should be coming together. Ultimately i still do all my final mixing on my monitors, but that wall of bass sound really does help. Now, bear in mind i ...

Re: Alright Newbies, Ask A Question
noways as someone who used to play in bands do you not find it incredibly frustrating how much time it takes to do all these processes and how much equipment and tweaking it takes to make a tune, when you can finish a guitar song in five minutes? it's something which puts me off producing, the lack...

Re: Alright Newbies, Ask A Question
Yeah, I just read a wiki page on dub/dubbing and it was really interesting. I think I've only been making (electronic) music for about 3 years now and I'm really starting to see things in a different light. At first I was all about nasty bro noises because it's something I'd never heard before, but ...

Or just tell everyone to dl Reaper and knock it out! Seriously though, depending on how big the teams are you can just assign everyone a specific task. Drums/precussion, leads/pads, bass/lulz, ect. Then just have one person slap in in there daw and make it sound like a little bit less of t...

Re: Recording Audio into an Ipad 3
Audio share is great for for recording and basic editing. Plus it has all the copy/paste/sharing options. As far as daws go, I like beat maker 2 the best. Supports inner app audio and has a lot of great built in effects and editing and midi options. And I would go with irig pro/hd or the line6 sonic...

Re: What new piece of gear have you got that has...
I use to have the same mindset that everything needed to be quantized. But once I started using my ipad synths I didn't have much of an option seeing as it's just recorded audio. Personally I think it sounds better now. Having things just a little off time really makes the track feel less sterile.
