What works for me is if i finish a track, save it and start all over with the same synths, beat and stuff and make something new, adjust synths, beats and repeat. That but 6gb is plenty(you can always upgrade), also an ssd helps a LOT but a fast (7200rpm minimal) normal hard drive works too
